A suggestion to fix television:
- Give Megan Mullally her own sitcom. Preferably with Rob Thomas of Party Down and Veronica Mars fame as showrunner so we’re guaranteed solid writing and great guest stars. Whatever the plot, Ken Marino should be her best friend and/or love interest.
- Pair that sitcom with Judy Greer’s recently announced show and throw it on ABC on Wednesday nights along with Happy Endings and Suburgatory. We’ll figure out what to do with The Middle and Modern Family at some point, I guess, whatever.
- Sit back and rejoice about finding the antidote to NBC’s “Happy Hour” comedy block of Whitney and Are You There, Chelsea? Those shows can still exist a few channels away if they want. We’ll officially have a reason to stop hate-watching them.
- FUNNY WOMEN PROFIT.
I’m loving that Megan Mullally keeps popping up on every show I watch, but her own show would be pretty great.
