Alright, I’ll do it.
1. I’m 24 years old, living in Austin, TX and working at my first “real” job.
2. Adusting to working life is harder than I thought it would be, and I’m jealous of some of my friends who seem to have had an easier time with the transition.
3. I’ve played tennis pretty much all my life- junior tournaments through high school and then Club Tennis at UF. I still love to play, but don’t really miss playing competitively.
4. I know all the words to “We DIdn’t Start the Fire” (and almost all BIlly Joel songs) by heart.
5. My two younger sisters make me laugh more than anybody.
6. I love Latin America and have spent time in Mexico, Costa RIca, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Colombia. I really want to live and work in South America while I’m still young.
7. My favorite band is the Chris McCarty Band from Gainesville!
8. I played clarinet for 7 years growing up. I liked it, but wish I would have learned piano instead.
9. I’ve been obsessed with the Stewart/Colbert/Carell trio since high school, when they were all on the Daily Show. They’re really the only celebrities I get excited about (oh, and Ellen).
10. I love the Houston Astros! My grandparents lived in Houston when I was growing up, so every summer my cousins and I would watch their games. Even though the Mets were right in Port St. Lucie, I would travel around FL during Spring Training following Craig Biggio and the Astros.
12. I speak Spanish, and I wish I used it more in my work.
13. My last name is pronounced O-tan. (My dad’s from New Orleans)
14. They don’t know it, but my two favorite people I’ve met so far in Austin are my yoga teachers.
15. I’m allergic to cats and have asthma.
16. I’m not in the mood right now, but I’m going running!
