Today’s class was like a backbend explosion. I always get nervous when my teacher tells us to get a chair from the closet. Luckily we put the chair against a wall. After pigeon backbends and three or four UD’s, handstands and forearm stands, we did forearm stand backbends with feet on the seat of the chair. You get into it by starting with forearms on the ground under the chair, kicking up against the wall and walking your feet down onto the chair.
Side note, I’m reeeeally close to being able to balance in both handstand and forearm stand in the middle of the room. One of these days I’ll get it.
Oh, and the best part about doing a shitload of backbends is the down dog back release with a partner afterwards. Soooooo good.
